About Us
Committee
Sunbeams are a registered charity pre-school and must have a parent run committee.
The committee helps with the effective running of the pre-school.
We also have a team of fundraiser's on the committee, who have raised money for Sunbeams to purchase equipment for the children.
Annual general meetings are open to all parents and it gives everyone the opportunity to see what has been achieved throughout the year.
We are always looking for new members to join the committee as it is essential for the running of the pre-school.
Funding
Government funding is given to each child the term after their third birthday, for a maximum or 15 hours per week. This can be split between other settings.
Special Needs
It is part of the pre-school's policy to make sure that its provision meet's the needs of each individual child.
We take account of any special need's which a child may have and will wherever possible, adapt the setting accordingly.
At Sunbeams we have a member of staff whose role is special education needs co-coordinator and she also has regular contact with other professionals in this area.

Sunbeams work to the requirements of the 1993 Education Act and The Special Educational Needs Code of Practice 2000.
